Contest Day 1 - We Wish
Well, the remnants of hurricane Ian are still hanging about and we are experiencing liberal amounts of liquid sunshine. The faithful are still here and last night we enjoyed a wonderful Oktoberfest Bratwurst dinner prepared by local pilot and board member, Danny Brotto. A good time was had by all as we moved the picnic tables from the pavilion into the main hangar.
Today we busied ourselves with administrative chores. SM arranged for an annual inspection of his glider and LX obtained the turnpoint database.
We are not particularly enthusiastic about tomorrow but we do have another excellent dinner planned. The local Italian restaurant is providing lasagna.
There is a definite possibiltiy for a roaring ridge day later in the week so we are still hopeful.
