Grand Prix Day 2

Tuesday was a much better day.

The task was an 87 miles course:
Piolis
Grahamsville
Monticello Racetrack
Comehome
Lewis Landing

The gate opened at 14:30 with thermals west of Wurtsboro going to 5500+. Later in the afternoon the famous convergence line opened north through Roundout and into the Catskills. Flying next to the wall of clouds dropping down 500ft to the east is always a great experience.
24 was the star of the day and only finisher with a raw speed of 35 mph.
MC won on distance with U who continued a great Grand Prix tradition by getting an aerotow from Ellenville.

Good day shaping up for Wednesday. Thursday doesn't look good.

U
