Grand Prix Day 1

Even though the contest is on hold until Friday, aviation is being performed at Wurtsboro. I'll be posting Roman Michalowski's reports as they come in.

Our first race on Monday was nothing to write home about except, maybe, that we flew.

The task was a 67 miles course:
Gertrude's Nose
Randal Reservoir
Sullivan
Steering Point South

The gate opened late, at 15:15 after multiple relights and difficulties to get all the competitors above 3000 ft. There were no finishers with U winning on distance but paying for the glory with an aerotow from Sullivan.
