Wind 1820G35
Hello from wonderfiul Truckee, California! The last few days here have featured strong southerly winds averaging about 20 knots with gusts to 35, pretty much day and night. Our CD, Mike Mayo and his task committee decided that calling a task here today would not be prudent. A few folks flew, but only a few. One even made it home.
Tomorrow's weather looks taskable. Most competitors have arrived and are securly tied down. I'm waiting now for the USAF Academy Soaring Team to arrive, due any minute. A contingent of ten cadets, five gliders, four officers and two maintenance personel. It always adds to the fun when the Air Force ladies and gentlemen join us!
Check back here tomorrow,
