Day 4 final report

On this the longest day of 2021, we finished off the Region 11 North contest with the longest task of the race. Competition Director Stephen Smith finally had the opportunity to send our pilots out into the eastern high desert portion of the arena and show them what a good day at Montague is like. With cumulus and good lift in all the right places, everyone finished the day with speed points and with plenty of time to attend the banquet at Dean Gradwell's hangar. Mario Galliano and his crew put on a great spread, complete with music by The Brothers Reed, and a good time was had by all.
