Day 1 16 June 2021

We are coming into a period dominated by high pressure, so peak altitudes were only a little above the terrain and strong thermals were few and far between. The air was totally dry and blue. A common remark among the contestants was, "Well, I killed a lot of bugs." Four competitors completed the task, and as is often the case the winner reported a fun day with good climbs in all the places they needed.
