Thursday No Contest Day

We had heavy rain Wednesday late afternoon and through the night. 4” of rain in spots locally. Creeks are running muddy and high, farmers’ fields are soaked, and the airport field is turning into a mud pit (see awards below).

Significant overcast today. Light rain on and off this morning. Wind from the north all day. Today is a day to dry out.

Our CM Ann Lafford has two flamingo hats (flamingos are a theme at FLSC). They are awarded for “best effort” throughout the contest. For those at home following along, so far this week our awardees are:
Michelle Conklin [JRs] – First contest land out on Sunday
John Dezzutti [JD] – Prondl tube missing – and found – on field Tuesday
Garrett McEwen [H2] – Last man down on Tuesday
Chip Bearden [JB] – Van stuck in mud Wednesday evening and again Thursday morning
