Morning Briefing Day 3

Morning Briefing 06-16-2021

Weather today is expected to be better overall than the last two days. The day looks good for a longer task.

Winners reports from the last two days, congratulations to all.  Wings and Wheels donated some nice prizes: Decals, Yawstrings, and Quiet Vent kits. Winners got to select from the prizes.

Weather forecast details: Fairly consistant lift is forecast over the tasking area with top of lift to 7500 and above. It appears that the next few days will be dry and blue.  Gotta love those blue days. Boundary layer winds are expected to be light 5-10Kts over the whole area and up through the lift zone. Lift dropping off after 5PM.

Safety Talk: Mark Stanfield, CFI-G from Hood River Soaring, discussed the IMSAFE and PAVE models of risk management.

Task: The task is AAT same turnpoints are being used for all classes, but the Task time and radi are different;

West start, Peach Rd. Niles Corner then back to EPH.

Sports Class: 3 Hour, Radi: 15 25 20
Standard/15M: 3.5 Hour, Radi: 15, 25, 15
