Region 8 day 2

Second verse, same as the first! The weather was projected to fall apart even sooner in the afternoon.

The first class to launch was the Open/18M crowd with one of the self-launchers electing to take a tow.  The task was orinially 2:30 for all classes, but the first group were the only one that flew that long.  Both the Sports and Standard/15 time was reduced to 2 hours and everyone made it home in time to safely tie-down before the strong wings hit the airport, currently reporting 18Kts, gusting to 24, earlier it was 20G26.

Not as much overdevelopment, but high, thick cirrus blocked the sun after about 2:30PM. lift was still available due to residual heat on the ground, but it was tougher to find.

Everyone came home, no land-outs.

The weatherman promises better weather the rest of the week, if you can believe a weatherman!
