Rest

Today dawned cloudy and damp. No tasks were set. We had a good meeting reviewing the "Battle of Arlington" yesterday. Three pilots - Bob Dyer, Akshay Pendharkar, and Paul Agnew successfully completed their first off airport landings. Akshay and Paul actually landed together. Quinn Agnew showed off his most excellent first draft video from his Drone footage. He had a bunch of takeoffs and also a great aerial view of their landout field and derig from yesterday.

Many contestants visited Wichita today for a tour of the B-29 "Doc". Doc is one of two flying B-29's in the world and we are lucky to have it in Wichita. Others simply rested or visited the Cosmosphere.

Yesterdays tasks were valid in both classes. We now have a valid competition in each class which of course we all are happy about.

Colten Coughlin completed his Silver Distance yesterday, another exciting achievement for this contest.

Tonight the Boone Family is hosting an Italian Dinner at the Soaring Center. It will certainly be an evening of great fellowship. The forecast for tomorrow does not look great, but Thursday shows some rays of sunshine. We are hopeful that there is one more day at least left in the competition.
