Who knew it could rain in Nephi

When you invite pilots from the east to come join you in the fun, expect them to bring some unwanted things with them.  Thunderstorms come to mind.

Our weather gurus said the models made it impossible to predict where to task today.  All four quadrants were predicted to have thunderstorms.  Yes it may be possible to fly in between them but good luck trying to safely task through them. 

When it rains at Nephi - which happens for a few minutes per month it seems, everywhere that isn't asphalt turns to mud if driven on or walked on.  The good news is that it only takes an hour or two to get back to normal and dry.  But try doing something with your glider if it is raining at landing in Nephi...

Yeah - was it flyable?  Yes.  Possible to race?  Not realistically.  We have only had a half dozen weather days in the 9 Nephi events we have thrown so this is a big deal.  Glad there are still race days ahead!
