Day 8 post task opening

Well race fans, they are off and running. This the final day of contest is looking good.  The launch went well.  Great job by all had the 20M class launched and task opened by 12:50 with reports of moderate lift to 9700 ft.  The standard class with similar reports at the house thermal saw a task open at 13:15. I just checked and most of the contestants have started and some have rounded the first turn. There is a cell over Goosenest to the east but the satellite view is showing good clouds where we need them to be.

It is time to prepare for the banquet dinner in the Gradwell hangar/ contest headquarters. We will be serving a nice California spaghetti with grilled brats and beer.  The trophies will be awarded and the WSC circus will start breaking camp for departure in the morning.
