Day 5 CD's Post Pilot Briefting

Race fans,

Today is feeling a lot more like classic Montague racing days.  It is forecast to be 100F at the airport.  It will be a bit drier than most pilots would like but I am optimistic we will have some markers.  I called AAT with small turns in the front of the task and larger at the end with a shortish TOC time.  This will hopefully feel more like a racing task for what that is worth.

I called a task A that will take them out to the East which is sure to be high and strong but dependent on the convergence, which may be unmarked due to the dry air.  This can cause a lot of unnecessary angst but could also make for some great racing.   I will call this task if there is sufficient sign of marker clouds.  If not it will be a Scott Valley 8 turn area with the same concept to make it more like a racing task.  At 30 minutes until staging I see no clouds anywhere in the contest area.

Either way we should have a high number of finishers and all should have a fun day.

Stand By.
