Day 3 after launch report

Hi again from the CD,

Today will be a bit slower. The sky is naked blue.  It is starting to warm up and the wind has gone away.  We launched the sniffer a 12:30 and he stuck but was not getting the altitudes we were looking for to trigger the launch.  After waiting 20 minutes I launched 3 of the standard to see what they could do.  Wx reported plenty of lift but not much climb. After another short delay we launched the rest of the fleet.  We only had one relight due to a mechanical.

We felt we had the get the fleet to crawl out to Gunsight to get reasonable start height so I increased the start gate to 22Km.  This seems to have dine the trick.

No one has landed back and I got a few reports of over 8,500 ft which was the trigger to open the gates for an AST  China Start, Craggy South, Quarts Valley, Duzel Rock, R-Ranch and finish about 200k.

This can be a bit of a challenging day but should be a pretty low risk task.

As I was about to hit send I am told we have one pilot landed at Weed Airport.

Stay tuned.
