No Contest - Friday 09/20/2019

The day looked like it could be good soaring but there was a potential problem with cloud cover that might move in from West Virginia.  That turned out to be a factor and as result we did not get the opportunity to launce early enough.  When the sniffer lands so that he can fill up the tank you know it’s weak.  The day was called at about 2:30 and although some pilots took a tow the overall soaring reports were not encouraging.   The dinner was pork barbeque cooked by Pit Master Glenn Maxwell.  After dinner we had music by “Better Than We Sound”, an Old Time Fiddle and Americana music string band.
