Friday Aug 23 Report

Today a 2 hour a very close in 3 turn TAT was called to try to "thread the needle" between early bad weather and later bad weather.  My backup task was the same task with 1 1/2 hour minimum.  Just after the pilot's meeting showers developed just south and west of the airport threatening to clean the dust off of our wings.  I sensed a growing desire among the competitors to avoid a mass landout like we had on Tuesday.  Upon seeing multiple pilots pull their planes off the line I quickly conferred with my adivsors and cancelled the day.  My decision was met with unanimous glee.

Tonight's regale will consist of Beef and Chicken Fajitas, Spansih rice, charro beans, chips & guacamole.  Ice cream sundaes will be dessert.
