Contest Summary - Thursday

Gray skies with rain and wind prevail again today with the same forecasted for Friday and Saturday, none of which is conducive to thermal soaring in Minnesota.  Thus, we all agreed to end the event and go home with plans to race next year.  With no contest days, there were no winners even though we were prepared to do so each day.  I extend my appreciation to Jim Hanson – AEL Airport Manager, Geoff Weck – Competition Director, Tom Kuhfeld – Operations Director, Tom Pressley and John Godfrey – remote scorers, Volunteers, and the glider pilots who attended with hopes for that next great flight.
