| Description: | We are trying multiple new things at this contest/event so please read everything carefully including which class to sign up for. Nephi events are back in full swing with another sure to be epic regional contest and OLC camp. Entry preference is based on timing of the non-refundable deposit received after registering. The normal preferential ranking/registration dates are waived. Within a week of registering, we will email you an electronic invoice that you can pay online for the deposit. Please do NOT send checks. Please note we are limiting participation to 45 gliders. This is a combined regional contest and OLC event with morning safety meetings, a daily task for the regional pilots and a task suggestion for the OLC fliers, daily awards, weather briefings, multiple evening events and dinners, and a retrieve office. Due to Nephi's location and the number of gliders, PowerFlarm is mandatory for all participants and a gps tracker is highly recommended. This is what we are doing differently for the regional contest: Participants will choose to either fly the regional contest (choose Sports Class) or the OLC event at registration. If you choose to fly the regional contest, you have the option to fly ballasted or dry. We will get your max flying weight you will fly during the contest and you will be scored based on your weight-adjusted handicap. Water is available at each tie down spot. OLC pilots can fly every day and they can grid before the contest pilots to maximize their flight times since contest tasks are much shorter. The last day of the regional contest will be July 5th allowing all participants to fly OLC on the 6th, the final day. We will have at least one rest day/good weather day during the regional to allow for OLC flying if the day looks like it will be too good to fly a shorter regional contest task.
