| Description: | The Tucson Soaring Club is proud to be hosting the 2025 15-Meter Nationals The organization has been working diligently on some facility improvements and our members are excited to host this first contest from our new clubhouse... We frequently host our Annual OLC Challenge and Regional Contests during this Late May/ Early June timeframe. The weather consistently allows us to fly tasks over 190 miles and occasionally over 300 miles without much chance of overdevelopment. Our task area varies from mountainous, desert, and farmland. Come fly with us and explore the Southern Arizona task area... Entry Fee: 500... Deposit: 150... Late Entry Fee (After March 28, 2025): 100... Local Fee*: 100 (Required for any pilot not currently a member of TuSC)... Tow Fees: 100/tow... Maximum Number of Entrants: 40... *The Local Fee will allow the pilots access to the Tucson Soaring Club for the remainder of the calendar year as a Guest Member... Billing/Payment: The Tucson Soaring Club is happy to accept electronic payments for all fees including the Entry Fee... Camping: Camping will be available on-site. Please note that the El Tiro Gliderport is located in the middle of the Ironwood National Monument and does not have city water or power. Our facilities have power that we generate and water that we truck in. Please let us know if you plan to camp on the airfield so we can plan. | |
