Contest Name: 2025 XC Women, Cross Country Training Camp

Description: This camp is limited to 10 women participants, aged 21 and over. Purpose of the Cross-Country Camps: To introduce women glider pilots to Cross-Country soaring and coach/mentor them on their first Cross-Country flights Provide structured learning sessions with a building block approach to increase your knowledge, ability and confidence Flight analysis for performance improvement Energy lines, altitude bands, thermal selection WX analysis for determining the days XC potential. Types of Tasks and task parameters Creating tasks in WeGlide and SeeYou Logging a flight and posting it to WeGlide and OLC Goals of the Camps: Pilots new to XC fly their first task. More experienced XC pilots fly a longer task. Camp Prerequisites: Pilots bring either their own or a club glider. Glider must have liability insurance. Pilots have demonstrated soaring skills by logging several 2-hour flights in thermals. A Bronze Badge is preferable Have WeGlide and OLC Accounts Have a logging device that produces an IGC file. These camps are mainly for those new to XC however, if your xc skills have lapsed or you just want more training, please consider attending.
